What to Wear to a Fall Wedding

Weddings aren’t limited to just one season, they happen year round and no matter what time of the year a wedding takes place it can be tricky to find the perfect wedding outfit. At a wedding you never want to be underdressed, overdressed, or match the bridesmaids (that’s always embarrassing). Fab’rik has you covered for any type of wedding! Both looks in this post are from fab’rik and they have MANY more beautiful options as well. If you have never checked them out, I recommend you do so! In this blog post I am going to give y’all the rules that I follow and what I wear based on a nighttime or afternoon wedding.

DAYTIME WEDDING:

Dress // Shoes // Bracelet (silver version)

This floral midi-dress is so dreamy; twirling and dancing around are mandatory while wearing it! This is what makes this dress PEREFECT for a wedding. If a wedding takes place before 5:00 PM you should go for a more casual look. This dress is more appropriate for that time frame because it is very easy to dress up or down. The way that I styled it is perfect for and indoor wedding. Although, if you are attending an outdoor wedding you can easily switch out the shoes to a casual sandal — like these (click here). This gorgeous fall floral pattern will have you getting almost as many compliments as the bride!

NIGHTTIME WEDDING:

Dress // Purse // Necklace

An after 5:00 PM ceremony is considered a nighttime wedding. Typically, you will wear more of a cocktail style dress and heels. For this look, I chose a beautiful navy blue hi-low dress. The back detail on the dress is breath taking! Even though it is a more fancy/serious dress it is still easy to dance around in. I don’t know about y’all but I LOVE to dance the night away at a wedding. I can never resist a good band, so I like to wear something that I can easily move in. This dress is very modest in the front and then has a more risqué back, making it a great classy wedding look.

Helpful Wedding Attire Tips:

  • Pay attention to the color scheme on the invitation so you aren’t matching the wedding party.
  • Check to see if the proper attire is mentioned on the invitation (black tie, black tie optional, or casual).
  • NEVER WEAR WHITE, OFF WHITE, OR CREAM.
  • Dress according to the venue and time frame: rather its an outdoor/indoor or daytime/nighttime.
  • Wear something comfortable so you can dance the night away!

XOXO
